Dell D430 PC

It is a proven fact that both laptop and PC users have a certain preference for a certain operating system. I, for instance, cannot stand the interface of Windows Vista and I am more of a Windows XP fan. For those of you that have the same preferences that I do, let’s see if we can find some Dell laptops with XP. The thing is that most laptop that have RAM between 1 GB and 3 GB should run just fine with the  Windows XP operating system installed. It is said that everything above 4 GB can only be read by Windows Vista or the new Windows 7.
One good choice when it comes to Dell laptops with XP is the Dell Latitude D430. This unit runs on a 1.33 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo U7700 processor and 1 GB of RAM which can be upgraded to a maximum 2 GB. It has the capacity to store 80 GB of files on its hard disk and it comes with the preinstalled version of Microsoft Genuine Windows XP Professional. It has a 12.1 inch display with a native resolution of 1280 x 800  pixels. The unit is available directly from the Dell official website and the starting price is as low as $700.

Another good choice for a laptop that runs the Windows XP operating system is the  Dell Vostro 1310. Dell gives its users the possibility to choose between the 32 bit versions of Windows XP Professional or Windows Vista Business. The unit is based on a 2.1 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo T8100 processor and 2 GB of  RAM with the possibility of extending to a maximum 4 GB. The storage capacity of the hard drive is 160 GB and the graphics card is the nVidia GeForce 8400 M GS with 128 MB of video memory.

It has a 13.3 inch display and other features are the webcam with integrated microphone, a fingerprint reader, a DVD burner and all that for a price of almost $1400. The base unit however has a starting price of $750 but you don’t get all these cool features and the graphics card is the integrated Intel Graphics Media Accelerator X3100.
If you want an even cheaper laptop, we have found one which has a starting price of $500. The Dell Vostro 1000 is an ideal budget laptop that runs with the Windows XP Home operating system. The unit is powered by a 1.8 GHz AMD Sempron 3500+ processor and 512 MB of RAM. The graphics card is the  ATI Radeon Express 1150 and the storage capacity of the hard disk is 60 GB.

It may not have some of the best specs on the market but keep in mind that this is a budget laptop designed for people that just need one unit to help them with their basic computing needs. They say that Windows Vista is the one that really helps squeeze the juice out of your RAM so if you really want a laptop where Windows XP is the best choice, remember what I told you about RAM at the beginning of the article.
